How is the best way to store them? I wrap mine around the flag length wise and put them in the case.My opinion, I think it depends on how you store them.

If I clean mine and dry them flat would storing them in tubes restor the stiffnes? My opinion, I think it depends on how you store them.
Clean them? Never done it or heard of the process being done.If I clean mine and dry them flat would storing them in tubes restor the stiffnes?
Would wetting them and drying flat restore stiffnessClean them? Never done it or heard of the process being done.
So my answer is, no clue.
Try it and report back.
The nylon sailcloth is melamine coated from the factory.
I do not know.Would wetting them and drying flat restore stiffness
Like after being rained on?
I've never wet mine on purpose but I have shot in the rain and I just put them back in the tube. I store mine in a tube, this helps keep them straight and the curve in the tails. I don't think you want them flat, I'm thinking the curve contributes to making them more stiff. The older mine get, the more the curve and stiffness are taking a set.Would wetting them and drying flat restore stiffness

What happens if you put them in the tube against the curve?Mine are a little too curled. I think they still work ok but I'd like to flatten 'em out a little. Any ideas? At one point last summer I tried to flatten them out by putting them under a heavy matt that's on the floor in front of my work bench. That helped a little but it was short-lived
Store them damp in a larger diameter tube and they will curl less. Too damp and they will flaten.Mine are a little too curled. I think they still work ok but I'd like to flatten 'em out a little. Thanks Jerry. I store them in the tube that Ralph shipped them in as instructed. I'll see if I can find one with a little larger diameterStore them damp in a larger diameter tube and they will curl less. Too damp and they will flaten.
Try this, works very well and make them smell good too:Thanks Jerry. I store them in the tube that Ralph shipped them in as instructed. I'll see if I can find one with a little larger diameter
Yes, you had wrong expectations. None of them are that way or designed to be that stiff. My flags were delivered yesterday ( great workmanship) and I'll try them out in the yard today. I was thinking they would be a lot stiffer than they are in that If I held one out horizontal it wouldn't droop. Am I wrong?
